Urvashi Rautela recently discussed her political aspirations and disclosed that she already has a ticket to run for elections. While she didn’t disclose the political party she intends to represent, she spoke about her commitment to being an honest politician. In a chat with InstantBollywood, she said that she already works at bringing about a change in the country through her foundation and said she would like to further contribute to the nation if given the opportunity.
When asked which party she intends to contest elections from, she laughed and said, “Can’t disclose much. Ticket mil gayi.” On being asked what type of a politician she will be, Urvashi said, “Imaandaar, honest.”
Urvashi hinted at a possible entry into politics but mentioned having received an offer but is still contemplating whether to contest or not. “I have already got the ticket. And now I have to decide whether to go into politics or not. I don’t know whether I will go into politics or not, but I would definitely like to know from the fans. They should tell me whether I should join politics or not,” she told Instant Bollywood.
The actress also visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Friday. Photos of her visit have surfaced online and they show her offering prayers to the Ram Lalla statue placed at the temple. She was also seen spending a little time with the authorities of the temple. Urvashi’s visit comes amid rumours that she is joining politics. In the photos shared on X, Urvashi was seen wearing a yellow suit. After the darshans, Urvashi posed for a few pictures with the temple’s priest.
Directed by Vinay Sharma and produced by Pratima Datta, JNU was announced earlier this month. The film stars Urvashi and Ravi Kishan in the lead. As per reports, the film has taken inspiration from the infamous events at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi.
