On the occasion of India’s Republic Day, several Bollywood celebrities express their pride in the nation on social media. Shah Rukh Khan is no exception. On Friday, January 26, Shah Rukh Khan took to his Instagram handle to share an old image of himself with the National Flag and wished everyone on this special day.
Taking to his Instagram, Shah Rukh wrote, “Wishing you all a very Happy Republic Day…. May the Tiranga always fly high, symbolising the unity, strength and pride of our nation. As Indians, let’s contribute towards the progress and prosperity of our country. Jai Hind!”

Shah Rukh had a phenomenal year in the movies in 2023. With films like Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, he reinforced the sentiment that he may truly be one of the last superstars in India. Now, after receiving rave reviews from fans and critics, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is all set to be screened for the UK government.
News18 earlier mentioned a source as saying, “Since Dunki narrates the story of illegal immigrants who take the Donkey route to enter the cross-borders, the UK government has found it to be a relevant subject in today’s time. The film has received tremendous love from the UK audience, as not only does it talk about an important issue but also highlights the dangerous Dunki route, and hence now the government is also keen to watch the film.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan have been nominated for New York Magazine’s Vulture’s Annual Stunt Awards. The films will compete against heavyweights like Keanu Reeves’ John Wick 4 and Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning, among others.
He will soon be seen in Tiger vs Pathaan and is reportedly in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a film.
