Royal Enfield consistently witnesses positive growth with sales of 74,697 motorcycles in combined domestic wholesales and exports in May 2018, recording a growth of 23% over the same period last year. Royal Enfield, with a product line-up like Classic 350, Thunderbird, Continental GT and Himalayan, managed to sell 72,510 units in the domestic market in May 2018, as compared to 58,647 units for the same period last year.

The strong sales can be attributed to improvements that company made in its Classic 350 motorcycle which is also among the top-sellers for Royal Enfield. With the announcement of new Interceptor 750 and continental GT 750, Royal Enfield will tap the market of Harley Davidson and Triumph, which is currently untouched by any Indian manufacturer.

Royal Enfield recently also launched a limited edition Classic 500 called the Pegasus edition. The limited edition Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus edition will come with a set of military-style canvas panniers bearing Pegasus logo. The motorcycle also gets brown handlebar grips, a leather strap with brass buckles. Blacked out silencers, rims, kickstart lever, pedals and headlight bezel adds to the period look of the bike. Only 1,000 units will be made available globally, of which 190 will be available in Britain and 250 are being designated for the Indian market.
