Last week we saw a beasty rendition of the popular Toyota Fortuner, modified by an independent customizer. And this time around, we got our hands on yet another brilliant modification by an off-road tuning specialist XS Overland.
As seen in the images, the modified V-Cross gets a bold Ironman 4×4 front bumper with a metal skid plate, a bullbar that has a Warn winch kit capable of towing 12,000 pounds of weight and KC Hilites fog lamps in the front. It also gets a fully functional snorkel for increased water wading depths.
The XS-09 rides on a massive 33-inch Cooper ST all terrain tyres sitting beneath the modified fenders. The V-Cross also has an increased ground clearance thanks to the Ironman 4×4 1.5-inch lift kit.
Apart from the above mentioned mod-jobs, the V-Cross comes equipped with ARB air differential lockers, rock sliders, more under-body protection, off-road ready rear bumper, spare Cooper ST tyre, traction boards mounted on the roof, and Jerry cans to store additional diesel. How to take care of car this monsoon!
The engine is the same 2.5-litre turbodiesel unit with no tuning.
We recently test drove the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross and came immensely satisfied with its abilities. Giving these modifications to the V-Cross only enhances its capabilities and gives it the much needed power to conquer almost any terrain.
