Ford Figo & Aspire Sport Edition Launched at a Starting Price of Rs 6.31 Lakh
The Ford Figo S and Aspire S get a blacked out roof, all black interiors and new wider 15-inch alloy wheels.

Ford has launched new ‘Sport Edition’ of the Figo and Aspire models – christened Figo S and Aspire S – which come along with a dozen changes which make these cars look sportier than before.

Available only in the ‘Titanium’ trim, the Figo Sports Edition is priced at Rs 7,21,600 for the diesel variant and Rs 6,31,900 for the petrol variant. The Ford Aspire in Sports Edition is priced at Rs 7,60,600 for the diesel variant and Rs 6,50,900 for the petrol variant (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

“Fresh, dynamic, spirited and sporty, the new Sports Editions of Figo and Aspire are all set to take customers on an exhilarating ride and deliver the real fun-of-driving," said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India.

“Since their launch, both Figo and Aspire have set new benchmarks in the segment – from the maximum airbags-on-offer to lowest cost of service. The launch of Sports Editions is yet another stride in our commitment to introduce products that customers want and value and will help us further strengthen our position in in the segment and industry at large," added Anurag.

The Sport Editions of these models come at a premium over the standard Titanium variants. The Figo S costs Rs 50,000 more whereas the Aspire S costs Rs 34,000 more.

Exterior changes on the Figo S include new wider 15-inch blacked out alloy wheels, smoked headlamps, blacked-out honeycomb grille, decals and a blacked out roof giving the cars a sporty stance thanks to the dual tone paint job and the new spoiler on the back.

The Aspire S receives similar updates but carries the same grille as the current generation Aspire and the new 15-inch alloy wheels are not blacked out. Although, it misses out on the addition of a spoiler.

The interiors on both these models have been given an all-black treatment and come with contrast stitching.

In terms of mechanical updates, the Figo S and Aspire S get stiffer suspension setup.

Both of these models are powered by the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 100 horsepower and 215 Nm of torque and the 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 88 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque. The ‘S’ variants will only be available with a 5-speed manual transmission setup.
