Ampere Nexus Electric Scooter Deliveries Begin In Bengaluru
Ampere received a positive response from customers after launching bookings for the Nexus for a minimal charge of Rs 9,999 last month.

Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL), Greaves Cotton Limited’s electric mobility arm, has begun delivering the Ampere Nexus electric scooter a little more than a month after its launch.

This celebration coincided with the company’s 16th anniversary. As per reports, the delivery commenced in Bengaluru.

Ampere’s most recent model, the Ampere Nexus, is the company’s first step into the high-performance family electric scooter sector, and it was wholly designed, developed, and manufactured in India. The staged delivery strategy assures that all customers who booked the Nexus scooter will receive their orders on time during June.

Ampere has claimed a strong response from clients after initiating bookings for the Nexus for a modest charge of Rs 9,999 last month. According to a press statement issued on June 5, K Vijaya Kumar, executive director and CEO of Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited, expressed delight in marking Ampere’s 16th anniversary with the commencement of Nexus deliveries.

“Celebrating our 16th anniversary with the commencement of Ampere Nexus deliveries marks a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable transportation. This occasion represents our dedication to fostering a greener, more sustainable future,” Kumar, Executive Director and CEO of GEMPL, said as quoted by Autocar India.

The Nexus comes with a 3kWh LFP battery and a certified range of 136km, according to the company. The power comes from a mid-mounted engine that delivers a peak of 4kWh; the firm claims a high speed of 93kph. The claimed charging duration is 3.3 hours, and Ampere even offers a rapid charging option that reduces charging time even more.

The Nexus is available in the EX and ST variants. The EX has a starting price of Rs 1,09,900, while the ST costs Rs 1,19,900 (ex-showroom). A 6.2-inch LCD is included with the former and a 7-inch touchscreen TFT dash is included with the latter.

In addition to having a hill-hold function and three riding modes, the scooter also has reverse. The Ampere Nexus comes in four bright colours: Indian Red, Lunar White, Zanskar Aqua, and Steel Grey.

Earlier this year, the Ampere Nexus completed a journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, breaking four records according to the India Book of Records. This expedition travelled over 10,000 km, making it the longest electric scooter ride in a single trip. Furthermore, the journey set a record for visiting 115 cities and towns in one continuous ride.
